Hi, Welcome to my website. I'm AuDHD so I won't keep this short.
I’m Chloë (Pronouns: she/her) and I’ve been owner, maker, creator and everything else of To the Moon and Back since I created it back in 2019.
To the Moon and Back began as a hobby really, I never anticipated it becoming such a big part of my life - but it really has. I started just making wax melts, as I was grieving from losing my Mum, my best friend, in 2018. I had only ever lived with her, alone, and we were pretty inseparable. I relied on her a lot, and so it hit me hard, and I needed fun hobbies to keep my brain occupied.
Quickly, I realised how much I loved making wax melts, getting to smell the different fragrances every day… and how I was making far too many for me to melt alone. I also had realised I was good at it, and how much all of the crafting kits and my love of art in my younger years had trained me up for just this!
Mum had planned to open a ‘To the Moon and Back,’ gift shop if she’d have got better, she’d even had a logo designed with our lovely dog Mr Darcy on a moon. So of course, I wanted to take on the namer my own business, and feel closer to her. My logo now is designed by my lovely friend Kay, in honour of that original design she had for her planned shop.
Over the years, and since I’ve been diagnosed with ADHD, this business has evolved into a self-care centred business where I get to make an eclectic mix of items. I still mostly make home fragrance based items - and boast a large collection of oils… around 300 at the time of writing this! However, I also like to follow my creative brain and make other things and paint artwork because my brain works best when I follow my joy.
I hope you find products here that bring you as much joy as I find making them, and I really appreciate you taking the time to support my business. It’s my pride and joy, and I’m so grateful I get to make things that I love day to day, and share them with you. I can’t tell you how happy it makes me to read your wonderful posts, comments, reviews and messages about the things I make. I may have been doing this years now, but it still feels epic and a bit surreal to know that people use, and love the things I lovingly make.
Lots of Love,
Chloë
